The Accidental Medium

Tanz is a wine-loving, straight-talking, once-successful TV actress from Gateshead, whose career has shrivelled like an antique walnut. Still grieving for her friend Frank, who died in a car crash three years ago, she must find a normal job in London to fund her cocktail habit. When she starts working in a ‘new age’ shop, Tanz discovers that the voices she hears are real, not the first signs of madness, and she can give people ‘messages’ from beyond the grave. Alarmed, she confronts her little mam and learns she comes from a long line of psychic mediums. Despite new opportunities, darkness isn’t far away, and soon, there’s murder in the air...

Gin Palace

Set in Newcastle, Gin Palace rejoins Tanz as she grows accustomed to her unusual gift – communicating with the dead. Struggling to make ends meet as an actress and wholly unsuited to supply teaching, Tanz is only one bad day away from a meltdown. When offered a paid acting gig in her hometown, things start to look up. However, Newcastle’s dead won’t stay quiet for long, and Tanz becomes haunted by visions of a mysterious Gin Palace guarded by a sinister figure. As she pieces together a terrible tragedy, it becomes clear there’s no limit to what the poltergeist will do to keep his secrets.

Cross Bones

There’s a queue of people at her door, and not all of them are living. When Tanz is asked to help in the search for a missing woman, she finds herself at the Cross Bones Graveyard in London’s Southwark. It’s obvious there is unrest among the spirits who call this place home, and now Tanz is right in the middle of it. Her ‘so-called gift’ is stronger than ever, and the dead really want to talk! Coupled with performing a play that could wreck her acting career and a growing attraction to a younger police officer, life becomes very complicated. When the dead become restless, Tanz can’t ignore them, and a mystery needs solving. Is she strong enough to come out the other side?
