About the Author:

Suzanne Collins is an American television writer and author, known for works such as The Underland Chronicles and The Hunger Games. The series was inspired partly by the Greek myth of Theseus and the Minotaur, combined with her father’s career in the Air Force. Common themes in her work encapsulate the brutal effects of war, poverty, and starvation, alongside freedom, family, and friendship.

The film adaptation stars notable celebrities including Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth, Josh Hutcherson, and Woody Harrelson.
