Himari Akeno is excited to start high school, but a traumatic incident leaves her hiding at home. Her twin sister Mio struggles to watch her sister's dreams fade and decides to help by pretending to be Himari. Mio fakes an illness to encourage Himari to take her place at school, hoping that the bubbly persona will pull her sister out of her shell.
