The adventure is over, but Frieren, an elf mage, continues to navigate life and its challenges. In this volume, the village priest Sein joins Frieren's party on a quest to find a long-lost friend. They journey to the magical city of Äußerst, where Frieren seeks a first-class mage certification necessary for access to the Northern Plateau region. Encouraged by Frieren, Fern also decides to take the certification exam, but faces unexpected rivals along the way.
