The Shards

Set in Los Angeles in 1981, a group of privileged high school friends navigate their final year at Buckley College. Seventeen-year-old Bret becomes fascinated by a new student, Robert Mallory, who hides a mysterious past. As their friendship grows, Bret's attention is also drawn to a local serial killer known as The Trawler, whose gruesome crimes seem alarmingly close. The novel explores themes of obsession, privilege, and the impact of violence on youth.
