How can I get in touch?

Use our contact form at the bottom of the page and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.

Can I place an order without creating an account?

Absolutely! You can place an order as a guest without needing to create an account. However, creating an account is recommended if you’d like to easily track your order history, save your shopping basket, and store payment details for future purchases. Setting up an account is simple and only takes a few moments.

Who do you use to make your deliveries?

Our primary postal service partner is Royal Mail, using Royal Mail Tracked 48 and Royal Mail Tracked 24 for standard deliveries.

Where is my order confirmation?

An order confirmation is automatically sent to your email when you place an order. If you don’t receive it within 24 hours, please contact us at robin@books4less.uk to ensure there are no issues with your order. Before reaching out, kindly check your spam or junk folder, as the confirmation email may have been redirected there.

Why has my order been canceled?

We usually only cancel orders if there’s a stock issue or if you’ve requested a cancellation. We apologise if your order is cancelled due to an issue on our side. In such cases, we’ll always offer an alternative product and ensure your refund is processed in full, as quickly as possible.

Why has my order been canceled?

Orders are processed quickly after being placed. If you contact us immediately at robin@books4less.uk, we may be able to cancel your order before it’s processed. If it’s already on its way, your order will be dispatched, and you can return it to us once it arrives if you wish. Please note your order reference when contacting us.

Can I track my order?

Yes! We’ll keep you updated at every stage of your order, from placement to dispatch and delivery. Your delivery confirmation email will include a tracking reference so you can easily follow your order’s progress online.

Payment & Refunds

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept the following payment methods: MasterCard, Visa, American Express, UnionPay and Discover. All card payments are processed securely via Shopify Pay. We also accept PayPal, and if you’re shopping on a mobile device, you’ll see options for Apple Pay and Google Pay.

Why am I seeing a duplicate payment on my account?

In some cases, if a payment via Shopify Pay fails, you might see a pending transaction on your bank account. Don’t worry, this pending amount will automatically be reversed.

My parcel is lost or hasn’t arrived. What do I do?

First, check safe places and with neighbours. If still missing after:

  • 10 working days (UK)
  • 20 working days (international)

Email robin@books4less.uk. We will open a courier claim. If confirmed lost, we will resend your order or issue a full refund.

How do I return an item?

Email robin@books4less.uk with:

  • Order number
  • Reason for return
  • Photos if damaged

We will reply within one working day with a prepaid label (UK) or instructions for international returns.

Pack the item securely and include a note with your order number.

Take the parcel to your nearest delivery office and follow the instructions provided.

Yes! We inspect each and every book so that our customers get the great books in the best condition.

How are your books such great value?

We order in bulk from publishers, who provide us a great deal on new books. We then pass those savings onto you, so you can enjoy books at a fraction of the cost at other retailers!

How do I opt out of marketing and newsletter emails?

All our newsletters and marketing emails include an Unsubscribe button at the bottom. Simply click it, and you’ll stop receiving marketing emails from us.
